A Spring Fling: Moda Operandi
+
Okay, I know that it might be hard to think about wearing short silk dresses with nude stilettos while sipping mimosas when there's still snow on the ground but, you know what they say- "March goes in like a lion and out like a lamb." So lets just imagine a SPRING Fete, shall we?

Fan-tab-u-lous Fall '10 Faves: Moda Operandi
+
So now that Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is over and my life is somewhat back to Normal, I wanted to recap on some of my Favorites for Fall.
The passion that the clothing exuded for Autumn was nothing short of awe inspiring. The models, covered in rich colors, opulent textures and dramatic lines, seemed to just rove down the runway... leaving attendees speechless.
Designers once again embraced a multitude of leathers, furs and shearlings pairing them with extravagant knits. Actually, I was surprised not to see any PETA demonstrators picketing in front of Bryant this year.
Although I may not have bumped into protesters at the tents, I did rub elbows with: Matt Dillion, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, Michelle Trachtenberg, Whitney Port, Carmen Electra, Kate Bosworth, Whoopie Goldberg, Amanda Peat, Rosario Dawson, Kerry Washington, Hayden Panettiere, Ed Westwick, Molly Sims, Liv Tyler, Kelly Osbourne (who, btw, lost an insane amount of weight and looks fanfrickingtastic! I saw her at Nanette Lepore, and don't think that I didn't tell her how awesome she looks.) Um..... Oh, I also bumped in to Sarah Jessica Parker at Halston and introduced myself as the original Samantha Jones.
And now, without further ado and, in no particular order:

It's Leather Weather!: Moda Operandi
+You name it, we'll be wearing it in Leather over the next few chilly months. Leather shirts, dresses, shorts, leggings... and more.... Think you can't pull it off....think again!
(Click the Pic to be directed to site)
Leather Dresses: Pair with opaque tights and suede platform heels to pull off a polished sophisticated look.
Leather Pants: Work it with an over-sized men inspired blazer and ankle boots for a chic edgy ensemble.
Leather Skirts: Ladies, the key to pulling this look off is HEIGHT- I'm talking 4-6 Inch skinny heels. Pair with any slouchy top (Think Kain White Muscle tee or over sized sweater)
Leather Shorts: You must be very careful to properly execute this look without appearing dumpy.... HEIGHT HEIGHT HEIGHT is once again key. Pair with sheer tights (unless you're going for short shorts then go for opaque tights), a cropped blazer or an elegant silk blouse. (Stilettos will elongate your legs so, if you don't have long skinny gams stay away from ankle boots instead opt for a pointy closed toe stiletto)
Leather Tops: Fitted leather tops should be paired with subtle loose fitting bottoms. If you're wearing a loose fitting leather tank/shirt pair with skinny pants/Jeans and ankle boots, over the knee boots or stilettos.

Lauren Rae Levy: Celeb Stylist Holiday Style Guide
+
With all the Holiday festivities and New Year's Eve approaching, I was beginning to feel a bit overwhelmed with all my fashion options. It seemed that each dress was more fantastic then the next, which precipitated the conundrum, How do I wear that and with what?
I turned to my dear friend and Celebrity Stylist, Lauren Rae Levy, to help me wade through my seasonal style stress.
LRL's #1 tip:
DO get into the holiday spirit and take risks.
DON’T compete with the Christmas tree- the tree always wins.
With that spot on advice in mind, LRL chose a few magical looks to assure that any girl would look her best, but not out-sparkle the boughs of holly.
