Nary Manivong: Fall / Winter 2010 Presentation
+Wednesday, February 17th: Nary Manivong Fall / Winter 2010 presentation at Audi Forum during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
Fifteen models perched like mod statues on a circular rotating stage to present Nary Manivong's latest collection styled by Ally Hilfiger.
Press and guests were ecstatic about the show consisting of mainly shift dresses and various styled skirts. The mixture of wool, lace and abstract printed silk seemed effortless amongst a simple palette of black, plum wine, mocha and white. Ms. Hilfiger captured the polished feel of the collection with the use of light netting as hairpieces and over the models' eyes to complete the sculptural yet fluid look. And yes, Papa Hilfiger attended showing his always present support.
Conclusion: Triple-G! Gorgeous collection, gorgeous presentation, and gorgeous models.

Guests and supporters who all gathered to protect and conserve the world’s oceans, enjoyed gourmet hors d’oeuvres, sipped cocktails specially concocted for the event, while chatting about all things environmental to President Obama's Nobel Prize, to the age of Facebook.
SEEN: Gina Gershon, Law & Order’s Sam Waterson, fashion designer John Varvatos with wife, Joyce, Tommy Hilfiger with his wife Dee and daughter Ally, legendary music producer Nile Rodgers, New York Jets tackle Damien Woody, Actor Jeff Goldblum also stopped by to show his support to the organization in between shoots, Sue Cohn Rockefeller, Denise Rich, Bettina Zilkha, Patti D'Arbanville, Nancy Hunt, Sarah Farcy McNitt, Linus Roache, Mick Jones, Philip Glass, Rossano Rubicondi, Rick Lazio and Jean Shafiroff as well as Fernanda Kellogg, President of The Tiffany & Co. Oceana is a globally focused on marine issues, campaign-driven, and science-based organization created in 2001. Oceana aims it's efforts on declining fisheries- too many fish are being taken out of the water, preventing marine habitat destruction and ocean defiling from too many pollutants in the water, and seafood contamination which effects jobs and food for millions of people.
With the help supporters and advocacy, Oceana has succeeded in: curbing antibiotic use in aquaculture, preventing seafood contamination, adding 36% of nationwide grocery stores (including
Costco, Kroger and Harris Teeter companies, Albertsons, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and Safeway) to Green List which warns consumers about mercury in fish, ending the sale of shark-based products, saving Mediterranean bluefin tuna by getting European governments to restrict further use of driftnets, protecting sea turtles from longlines in Gulf of Mexico, stopping cruise ship pollution, and protecting over 640 million acres of ocean habitat from trawling in the Pacific Ocean and the European waters.
In addition to these victories, January Jones has recently become the new spokesperson for Oceana's campaign to save sharks from extinction and Ted Danson has taken on Congress. In February, Mr. Danson testified before the U.S. House Committee on Natural Resources to urge Congress to protect the oceans and climate from the threats of offshore drilling.
So with all these accomplishments under Oceana's belt, what can you do? Plenty! Although Oceana has achieved a tremendous and notable amount, there are still many concerns and issues that must address the Oceans' immediate conservation needs.
