The Ultimate Closet Revamp
+
If you're anything like the SBS fashion mavens, your closet doth overfloweth. My wardrobe was so out of sorts, the amount of time it would take finding something to wear and the subsequent outfit changes would inevitably run me extremely late to every event. In effort to keep me only fashionably late, I rid of my full-length mirror to minimize my garment choice critique.
With the stellar advice from The LRL Group, there was a better option then risking a fashion mishap or buying new clothes out of frustration. Celebrity Stylist Lauren Rae Levy and her girls took on the challenge to revamp my closet with the promise to organize my closet maximizing the space and teach me how to maintain it.
The Process:
- I scheduled an appointment, then promptly went to get slim-line flat hangers at Ms. Levy's request.
- On the day of the overhaul, Ms. Levy arrived with her two assistants and assessed my closet.
- They emptied the entire contents of closet.
- Then organized by style, i.e.- pants, sweats, jeans, blazers, dresses, skirts etc.
- Next, they went through each of those sections, changed out the hangers or folded accordingly and organized in color order.
- Ms. Levy walked me through my impeccable closet and taught me how to fold properly and efficiently, and other tips to help maintain my closet.
- Finally, Ms. Levy had me sort through each section for things I didn't need anymore or had seen their day.
The girls arranged for the old items I no longer wanted to donated be picked up and donated to Dress for Success, Ms. Levy's fave foundation: "So you get a new closet and did a mitzvah!"
The Result: Not only is my closet absolutely stunning, I discovered clothes I forgot I had, I now can easily throw together several outfits from what I have ... and I have a ton of room for some new threads. I just may be able to have a full-length mirror again after all.

Lauren Rae Levy: Celeb Stylist Holiday Style Guide
+
With all the Holiday festivities and New Year's Eve approaching, I was beginning to feel a bit overwhelmed with all my fashion options. It seemed that each dress was more fantastic then the next, which precipitated the conundrum, How do I wear that and with what?
I turned to my dear friend and Celebrity Stylist, Lauren Rae Levy, to help me wade through my seasonal style stress.
LRL's #1 tip:
DO get into the holiday spirit and take risks.
DON’T compete with the Christmas tree- the tree always wins.
With that spot on advice in mind, LRL chose a few magical looks to assure that any girl would look her best, but not out-sparkle the boughs of holly.

Once Upon a Time in Manhattan...
+
Thursday, November 19, 2009, socials, celebs, and young philanthropists showed up for Once Upon a Time in Manhattan to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of New York City.
The night hosted by Fox 5's Dari Alexander featured with a live performance by Bradford. Although the event was held at the B&T nightclub Marquee, it was a delightful success which included red carpet shenanigans, guest speakers, food catered by Cipriani, cocktails by Diageo Spirits, and music by celebrity DJ Catherine Oulette (a.k.a. "SynCity").
Ronald McDonald House of New York, Inc. provides a temporary “home-away-from-home” for pediatric cancer patients and their families. The House is a supportive and caring environment which encourages and nurtures the development of child-to-child and parent-to-parent support systems. Ronald McDonald House of New York, Inc. is the largest facility of its type in the world.
The whole club was filled with friends catching up and introducing each other to new friends, thus expanding this staple social do good feel good circle of NYC. As guests chatted and sipped on an abundance of bevs, they checked out the amazing silent auction which featured items courtesy of the Autograph Store, Winspire Travel, Judith Ripka and Steiner Sports.
As if the night couldn't get any better, each guest walked away with a VIP gift bags from a host of luxurious brands. 'Tis the season...

Harley-Davidson: 2010 Model Launch Party
+An eclectic crowd gathered at The Ainsworth October 8th, to get a look at the 2010 Harley-Davidson models, try on some fresh leather duds, and meet a few of the Motor Company staff.
The 6,000 square foot bar/restaurant with rustic wood walls avec chic chandelier lighting, has plenty of space to showcase several of the new models. The Screamin' Eagle Street Glide FLHXSE in spiced rum was poised on the Step & Repeat, a super hot accessory to those gracing the Orange Carpet.
My fave: A 2010 Sportster, Nightster, in brilliant silver denim and black denim.
In addition to plenty of bevs served by some gorgeous hosts, two tattoo tables were set up, the real deal by Dare Devil Tattoo and Fun City Tattoo, and airbrush tatts. Obviously, there was fun to be had at this launch party.
SEEN: Constantine Maroulis, Devorah Rose, Stephanie Newhouse, Kinga Drzeszlo, Lauren Rae Levy, Sky Nellor, Paul Johnson Caledron, and Celina Carvajal.
Be sure to check out the 2010 models or take a test spin with my boys at Liberty Harley-Davidson/BUELL in Rahway or at Highroads Harley-Davidson/BUELL in Highland Park.

I dream of lips
Washed against an exotic fabric of fantasy,
Of a singular melody
Transposed against jewels of colored majesty
A contemporary dream come true.
When your wildest imagination ebbs and flows
To the tune of the ethereal express.
This 2010 Spring/Summer collection definitely captured an ethereal essence mixed with a sultry spice. Custo's signature use of colors popped in this season's collection with the utilization of textures and eyelets. HOT. I must also mention as well, the models were g-or-ge-ous.
The pumping music combined with the lighting design, accented this fantastic runway, highlighting each piece. Somehow, watching the runway, I felt uber-sexy, like dancing, and flying simultaneously.
SEEN: Tinsley Mortimer, Micah Jesse, Lauren Rae Levy, Estelle, Kenan Thompson, Frederico Castellucio, Liliana Chudinova, Custo Daimu, Kristen Dalton, Stormi Bree Henley, Mark Indelicato, Stacie J., Yvonne Maria Schafer, David D'Angelo Brandon Davis, Fina Ferrer, and Lindsay Day.
